As the United States of America celebrates its 250th birthday, it is time to reflect on the unique ties that bind our two nations. Whilst their independence from Great Britain may have been painful (for us) at the time, surely few nations can speak of such a deep-rooted set of ties.
I'll be spending today celebrating with family and friends, and wish my American friends a very happy (and special) 4th July!
