Yorkshire & Humber Conservatives were pleased to welcome Lord Hague of Richmond, former Leader of the Conservative Party, to Harrogate last night as part of the largest fundraising event the Regional Team had hosted in more than five years.
Stewart Harper, Regional Chairman, commented "It was a great pleasure to host Lord Hague, who was at his witty and erudite best, and to see how much our members hold him in the highest esteem. William Hague was born in Yorkshire, and represented a Yorkshire constituency for many years, so is definitely 'one of our own' and was incredibly generous with his time as we raised vital funds for campaigning in the Region."
