I am honoured to have been elected today, as President of the National Convention and as Chairman of the 2025 Party Conference in Manchester. We are in the middle of rebuilding and renewing our Party – our members are, and must remain, fundamental to that work! I will continue to be the strongest possible voice for members of the Conservative Party, in the interests of the British people we serve in local government around the country and hope to serve in government after the next General Election.
I hope that, as a team, we have shown a commitment in the last nine months to reforming and changing how things work. I hope you’ll see we have achieved a lot in that time. I know that as a team that Julian, Michael, John, Ahmereen and I will do everything to repay your confidence in us over the next year.
